The area around Dimeri village on the Yuat River is one of the few places along the Sepik basin that has decent quality clay for pottery. This village is known for its animal and human pottery pieces. The clay is low fired and is generally not painted. This fellow was collected in the village in November of 1976. He is 5.75 inches tall.
