This little guy is nicely painted and carved for being just 4.5 inches tall. It has a nice age polish. It was collected in Kambaramba village, an Iatumul village just off the Sepik River in September of 1976. 

I recently obtained a group of artifacts from legendary New Guinea collector Ron Perry. He collected them in situ in the fall of 1976. They all came from an unopened crate from that time, so none have been seen or sold before.
