This ancient little face shows its age. If it was ever painted all remnants are gone. I don’t know if it was an architectural element, was part of a garamut (log drum) or served some other purpose. The back shows some burning adding to the mystery. Because it is so weathered I’d hate to make a guess as to age but I do know it was collected by Ron Perry in the late 1960’s. It is 13 inches tall.
