This wonderfully wear polished piece was once the top of a canoe paddle. It appears to have broken off the paddle probably due to use. Classic lower Sepik ancestor figure. Collected in situ in the late 1970’s but is clearly much older. It is custom mounted and stands 12.5 inches tall.
