Bone Daggers, Weapons, Tools > Abelam Sago Peg - 8412

Abelam Sago Peg. A nice old sago peg from the Wosera area, Abelam people. Sago pegs are used like clothes pins to hold palm spathe in place on a framework so the shredded sago can be soaked in water and worked to remove the edible flour. This one dates to the late 1960’s.

This peg is 18 inches tall and custom mounted.
